Newark CeX shop appealing for used tech, after new manager takes over

09:42, 07 October 2024

A high-street tech store has been taken over by a new manager — and is appealing for Newarker’s unwanted tech.

George Gavin took the reins at CeX, on Stodman Street, earlier this year, and despite the challenges facing high-street shops is keen to remind resident the store is ‘still there’.

CeX buys and sells pre-loved electronics — including games consoles, phones — video games, DVDs and more.

George said: “It’s been a tough year but we’ve seen a massive pick up again now. We want people to know we’re still here.”

The store’s current key message is “Newark, we want your tech” as it puts a focus on buying good-quality unwanted, used tech.

While George explained the store is looking for “a bit of everything”, it has particular demand for Xbox Series X consoles.
